I disagree that Lord Shimura would have no place in the sequel if he's still alive. Even if the Shogun gave up on the possibility of Shimura hunting down his nephew, if Shimura is still alive he'd likely be dead set on killing Jin Sakai, as his honor was damaged by his nephew betraying their ideals, and then Jin refusing to kill him, and we all know how much Shimiura cares about his honor. I think there's some interesting storytelling possibilities that could be brought from that.

I think a lack of social stealth makes sense of Yasuke. It would be very hard for a 6'2" tall African man to blend in at Feudal Japan. It would be really cool for Naoe. I'm wondering how else you could add variance to Yasuke as a character with these types of limitations. I know it's a different type of game by a lot, but I think Blades of the Shogun did the asymmetry between Samurai and Shinobi really well. Like the Samurai wasn't as great at sneaking, but at the same time, the Shinobi couldn't easily stealth kill larger enemy Samurai. They had to weaken them by shooting them or staggering them before they could attack them. Similarly to what we've already seen with Naoe in some of the gameplay. It'd be cool to see Yasuke be able to stealth those brutes that Naoe couldn't instantly take down albeit louder than Naoe. Yasuke's clearly very strong, so maybe they could implement some strength limited stealth options. Maybe routes that are limited by sturdy obstacles that only Yasuke could move, or using the environment, like throwing things from a height onto unsuspecting enemies. We've seen a knock out option in the gameplay, so if they fully committed to the non-lethal and lethal takedowns for enemies, you could also make Yasuke better at non-lethal takedowns despite being overall worse at stealth. Being able to non-lethally take someone down is much more difficult than lethally taking someone out if you're physically weaker than your opponent. Maybe Naoe is super effective at ghosting or lethal kills, but for non-lethal stealth, she's limited against most enemies (maybe to something like sleep darts like from Origins). You could instead employ Yasuke who, whilst louder and more sluggish in stealth, can freely perform non-lethal takedowns not limited to a resource. If your kills effected the outcomes of some missions that might seriously make some people want to stealth with Yasuke if the avoid enemies playstyle doesn't appeal to them. Plus it sounds kinda like it could spice stealth up to sneak up to people and choke them out or just smack their head against the wall. I don't know, I'm just spitballing, but that could add some additional variety to it.

First play is AC in mobile after that AC Brotherhood, since that i know this game is great.. History is our play ground.. 😄

This company has some of the dumbest ideas. The game is called assassin's creed. So why not just let us play as an assassin instead of wasting resources on making a second playable character who is nothing close to an "assassin"?

Just my 2 cents but I would probably give 3 different recommendations on what game to start with based on your preferences: I would only recommend the first Assassin's Creed as the starting point if you meet a few criteria: a) You want to follow the full modern day story from the beginning and b) You are are willing to put up with the first game being the most dated out of the entire series. I could see a new player getting turned off of the franchise because of how repetitive the original AC can be and how dated some of its mechanics are. But it is also not that long of a game so if you are willing to put up with that, start there. If you don't care as much about the modern day story, then I would recommend starting at either AC2, or Origins, depending on whether you want a more classic stealth focused game, or a more modern action focused game. AC2 is a great starting point if you prefer classic and stealth as it is one of the best (if not the best) game in the entire series, and has a whole trilogy around the beloved Ezio. But if you want to play a more modern game and like the idea of open world RPG mechanics, definitely start with Origins. This was the first game of this sort of RPG/open world reboot, and if you like it, you can follow it up with Odyssey and Valhalla which form another sort of trilogy in the modern day story (Layla's saga).

WHY?! Why a female protagonist?! I don’t understand. Why do we have to sit here & fkn pretend that men & women have the same capabilities? It completely ruins the immersion. There’s a reason you never hear any stories about “badass” female war heroes, they didn’t exist. But we gotta rewrite history & just make shit up all in the game of inclusion, right?

The problem with this game is that its a 'cheap shot' kill you game... once you get on a roll and wipe out a bunch of missions the game goes haywire!!!!!! I cant tell you the number of times a bad guy materialized out of a tree, the ground, a wall the clouds and then just puts a shotgun to your head and kills you... you can completely clear and scout an area and see no one, then suddenly you hear a shotgun blast and the guy thats standing right behind you blows your head off.... the game clearly just KILLS you because youre winning..... That doesnt make a fun game...that makes a game you never want to play again. The 12 year olds who programmed this game are a bunch of losers.

4:00 I got to protest on that. Far Cry and "decisions" are not to things that go together as of late. What exactly are the "decisions" you can make in both games? There are only 2 in both games. In FC5 you can wait and decide not to start the game, and thus just ending it (not playing), and decide to not to fight and go to one ending or another. In FC6, its even less significant, you can't decide leave Yara and not to play, or kill or not to kill a US business man that is an asshole, but doesn't affect ABSOLUTELY nothing on the game if you kill him or not. There are no SIGNIFICANT, decisions. They could have done so much more in FC6. Make factions and choose one or the other, like in FC4, decide who lives and who dies. Imagine a choice between saving Clara or saving Diego, that would have been huge! Or maybe choose to become a Guerilla or a soldier, and become a monster for both sides. In the entire story of 5 and 6, there are no big choices that make you want to try again.

Hot take here, ac naval combat is much more grounded and packs a punch than ac iv black flag. I get why black flag was more arcade cause having the naval exploration and combat more slow paced in such a big open world would have been a chore.

Sorry for being 2 years late... Of course, people should play it according to the sequence... All three games represented how cdpr worked on the games over the years and showed their tremendous efforts... W1 was alright considering the timeline 2008 the controls were decent and story was also very good(starting off with amnesia thing was actually something brilliant to come up with)... W2, however, showed up in 2011 with different fighting mechanisms that gave you control over the combat(I should also say casting signs with keyboard buttons was the worst experience)... The game actually felt short compared to W1...(I think it is the same whatever path you choose between Roche and Iorveth)... The skill tree is pretty much one sided and by this I mean you can go for a mage build or an alchemist build or a swordsman build which felt similar with the Cyberpunk too...If you go for a balanced you probably can't finish up building a tree path fully... The use of bombs seemed realistic in this game... They made a change where you need to meditate in order to drink potions too and you don't need a fireplace. I felt that potion drinking part a bit weird in this game... All in all the story in this game also was very interesting and some new characters were also introduced and you were decide their fate at some point of the game... There are still some bugs to this day which they didn't fix, I would be specific about the quest structures in the Iorveth's path(My fellow witchers will know which one)... And the quest were a bit tricky and fun for grinding gears especially for the Vrans armor and the gargoyle quest... Thus, I would say give it a chance, my fellow witchers...❤❤❤ Signing off...

So happy ghost of Tsushima actually has a complex story with a character born with a samurai heritage either doing things the honorable way or doing things to save the most people. Of course assassin creed doesn’t know how to write complex characters anymore so they’ll probably make one start off as a villain then redeem themself because oh well they told me this and then joins the good side because they lied to that character. That’s one of my theories of how the story will go.

Yasuke wasn’t actually exiled from Japan he instead went back with the Christian missionaries.

My first was ac 1 when I was like 7 and don’t remeber any of it then I played maybe 2 for also like 3 seconds.(didn’t even become an assassin) then black flag (beat that) then unity (my favorite) then many more

Although I could see all of these being good additions, I feel like it could come to adding too much and not having anything refined. The thing I liked the most about GOT is it felt like everything was well thought out and put together and all had reason to be there, not just tossed in.

My introduction to assassin creed is probably different from everyone else because I started on a model game called assassin creed pirates that game got pulled from the app store not sure why but it did. Then after a few years one of my step brothers liked the AC games so he gave me AC Origins than after beating that I asked him where to start and he said”start at the first game” and so I did. Fast forward to now and I have beaten every mainline AC game and most spinoffs and DLCs . For newcomers I would say play whichever game you think looks cool than if you want to comeback and play the other AC games. If any newcomers have any questions I would happily answer them to the best of my ability.

I'm replaying Origins after finishing Odyssey and it's crazy how much more beautiful the surroundings for Egypt are as opposed to Ancient Greece. There's just something about the way they fleshed out Origins that they didn't do for Odyssey. Maybe the color scaling is higher? But the surroundings in Origins just makes me want to stop everything I'm doing and just sight see. Meanwhile, in Odyssey I'm just running through towns and ignoring all of the little things Odyssey is pretty but I feel that it has way too many areas that all look the same. Ruins, Tombs that all feel the same, enemy camps, small city, big city. That's it. Rather than ruins, I wanted to see those same buildings when they weren't dilapidated. Origins dishes it out and shows me the absolute splendor of the Ancient world. I do miss Alexios though as my main character. I've grown very fond of Alexios and prefer him over Bayek. But I still love Bayek regardless. I got so mad at Aya for leaving him at the end of the game. Like wtf. I didn't like her character on my first playthrough, let me see if I'll like her on my newest one.

With the involvement of Sweet Baby Inc and the overblown inclusion with Yasuke. I think I might be done with the franchise, I am sorry for it was a good series but it has been getting worse since Origins; everything before Origins was a true Assassin’s Creed game but some things were enjoyable about the games until now. But this game feels like a slap in the face followed by a kick in the ass out the door.

4:23 - I think if they decide to make a remake, they should fix some of the missions and add more interesting elements, such as battling sea bosses like a Kraken. I always thought that would be cool. They should also incorporate more free underwater exploration instead of using a diving bell to go under. And explore more ancient stuff on each island.

My recommended starting points would be AC1, Black Flag, Unity, or Origins. Play them in release order for them to make the most sense. The novels usually have a game associated with them (forsaken and AC3, Desert oath and origins, etc.) Play the game associated with the book before u read it if u plan on getting into the books. The assassins and templar comic serieses are set mostly during a gap between syndicate and origins in the release order. The 2 comic serieses comine into 1 series called uprising and it concludes a plotline left over from the modern day sections of the game. If you're interested in the comics, start there.

I wonder if they want to continue Desmond's story some how , I mean we saw him in Valhalla and now Basim is in modern day , I don't think we get lot from Shadows about it , but I feel because Darby is working on Hexe , we will have a sequel in there . I think to only follow story of Desmond you only need AC1 , 3 and it doesn't really need to continue , I know the ending was not acceptable for everyone , but if they want to continue it , I guess that would be mean the main story of series is AC1 to Black Flagh , then jumps to from Origins to Valhalla and I guess next one will be Hexe . If anybody saw my coment , I'm really interested to know what is your opinion .

Do a little bit of mainland Japan and Tsushima, I’d like way more weapons other than the katana(Definitely the odachi) more assassination options, perhaps via the grappling hook. Definitely more customization in terms of armors and even Jin maybe a hair and beard selection thing?
